The incumbent is an agent of change, responsible for the creation<br \/>\nand stewardship of a diverse scale of fundraising activities and community events to connect with members, stakeholders and donors.<br \/>\nThe successful candidate will be an experienced fundraiser with a passion for connecting resources to support community needs. This individual will be comfortable working across a national network with multiple stakeholders, is adept at communicating the case for support and thrives on building relationships for collective impact.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fundraising\n<ul>\n<li>Implement and enhance the approved fundraising plan for CHHA.<\/li>\n<li>Enhance and supplement CHHA communications, especially as it relates to fund development<\/li>\n<li>Monitor all fundraising activities and track appropriately<\/li>\n<li>Appropriately thank all donors<\/li>\n<li>Support the creation and implementation of a strategic three-year national fundraising plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Community Engagement\n<ul>\n<li>Acts as CHHA\u2019s primary contact for sponsoring corporations, foundations and individual donors interacting directly with the National Office.<\/li>\n<li>Leads the development, coordination, and execution of CHHA\u2019s events focused on member, stakeholder, and donor engagement, including donor recognition and educational conferences. This includes in-person and virtual national conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Works with national Network peers to development and resource collaborative fundraising, educational events, and other opportunities to engage members, sponsors, and sector stakeholders.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education:\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced Education in relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with a national organization\/disability organization \u2013 preferably related to hearing health<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years fundraising experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Skills &amp; Knowledge:\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Thorough understanding of fundraising best practices, especially in the areas of direct response, gaming, sponsorships, virtual events, and online strategies<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional time and priority management<\/li>\n<li>Expertise in Microsoft office and social media applications<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter with aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable competency in project management and event planning and execution, including virtual platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Ottawa, ON \u2013 Canadian Hard of Hearing (CHHA) National Office \u2013 REMOTE applicants welcome<br \/>\n<strong>Position Status:<\/strong> part-time, 25 hours per week<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong> National Executive Director<br \/>\n<strong>Compensation:<\/strong> $40 per hour<br \/>\n<strong>Hours of work:<\/strong> The general hours of work are, Monday to Friday, though flexibility required due to the nature of the role.
