To be eligible to vote in a Canadian federal election, you must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a Canadian citizen<\/li>\n<li>at least 18 years old on election day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must prove your identity and address to register and vote in a federal election.<\/p>\n<p>You may wonder what you need to prove your identity at the polling station. Contact Elections Canada to find out if voting will be offered in your care facility.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To vote <strong>at home:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you can\u2019t make travel to a polling station or mark your ballot because of a disability, Elections Canada may be able to help you vote from home.
