Jamie is a High School Student entering University and has applied to study Science at Queens, McMaster, McGill, University of Toronto and University of Guelph.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;35px&#8221;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Frank Algar Memorial Scholarship Winner&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1524758184260{margin-top: 20px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2821 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/oldsite.chha.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/RShartau.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"180\" \/>The Frank Algar Memorial Scholarship was created in 2004 by the Algar Family in memory of Frank Algar who was one of the founding members of CHHA and provided dedication and outstanding service for many years to the work of the association. The 2017 Scholarship was awarded to <b>Ryan Shartau of Vancouver, BC<\/b>. Ryan is currently in the fourth year of his PhD studying Zoology at the University of British Columbia.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;Dr. Charles A. Laszlo Scholarship Winner&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221;][vc_column_text]<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2819 size-full alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/oldsite.chha.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/FBelec.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"160\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Dr. Charles A. Laszlo Scholarship created in 2007 by Dr. Doreen Laszlo to honour the commitment and work of her husband on behalf of hard of hearing people. The 2017 Scholarship went to <b>Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rika B\u00e9lec of Blainville, Quebec<\/b>.
